» Poem: Drips of Thought- Memories Pt 1
Drips of Thought- Memories Pt 1

It amazes me how certain places can hold so many memories. It's not as if the walls themselves can literally possess nostalgia, but there is a definate spiritual link that serves as a bridge to the past, all within a brick or pillar. Just looking at one structure makes a flood of memories come rushing back, like a subconscious watercolor becoming more definite and less blurred.

Memories are such strange things. How can the subconscious possess thoughts without being willfully cognizant of them? If memories and events are all caused by free will, how can we unknowingly possess the knowledge of hidden worlds?

Perhaps the hardest aspect of human nature is acceptance- meaning it is not the struggle for truth in an untrue world that is difficult, rather it is the ability to accept as correct something seemingly simple and elementary. People look too closely at things that are right in front of their eyes, trying to find small print that doesnt exist. Maybe things really are just as easy as we are willing to believe them to be.
