Coming Down To Earth
written by boom_boom1309:58 PM 1/31/05My head is in the stars,
I'm way off very very far,
And when I turn around,
I always see the ground.
Nothing to gain,
Yet nothing to lose.
Life is either good or bad.
I'm the one to choose.
But it'll be a lie if I say it's great,
Because of all the people that live off of hate.
So someone take me down to earth,
Because I don't want to live like this;
I'd rather have ignorant bliss.
But if you are the one to take my head out of the clouds,
Then you better try hard because all I do is crouch.
I hide away from people, cower beneath their feet,
Because everything they say to me hits me like sleet.
So let me see your hope, your trust,
And maybe I'll be able to wipe off this dust.
And if coming back to earth is a really great thing,
Then I guess I'll be ready for what life may bring. |
