Tearful Goodbye

but I can see
your sitting there
clutching my numb body
your tears roll down my face
I cannot move
all I can do is gaze
you keep telling me not to let go
that you love me
and that Im so cold
I close my eyes
and hear you yell
dont leave me
dont fall under death's spell
you kiss me one last time
all I can taste is blood
the words I love you escape my lips
then my memories begin to flood
I tell you I must go now
you pull me close and whisper
I will avenge you love, this is my final vow
and tearfully walk away
I still had so much to tell you
I wasnt ready to fall
I wanted to say I would always be there
and that this tragedy was my fault
I shouldnt have left your side
shouldnt have come to this place
I just wanted a change
and now Im dead, with your tears still on my face |
