» Poem: Washed Up
Washed Up
written by elfish88

When you get old, your battery dies out.
You wake up in the morning and realize
That no matter what, you cannot change
What your life has been.

It has been yours, there is no second chance.
You are a 90 year old in a wheelchair,
Staring at the beach and wishing
You could have walked upon its shores
Just one last time.
