My Story

The day the world stop turning
And fell to pieces
Landing in extra strong Kleenex
The youngest had no clue
And kept laughing and playing
The oldest didn’t want to believe
And locked herself in her room
The mother cried
She thought it must be a mistake
They didn’t think it was that bad
They didn’t know what would be the ultimate result
If only they didn’t leave him
If only they waited and said good-bye
They didn’t know it’d be their last
So much pain in the years to come
But nothing could compare to the little one
Not yet two years old
And her whole future is altered
No dates with Daddy
No sad comforting
No father daughter dance
She was left with nothing
A teddy bear to make the hurt go away
But it never would
The only thing is to remember what she can’t
But how can that be possible? |

| Wow. I totally understand. I mean my situation is a little different but my parents got divorced when i was 4 and both remarried. I endured years of child abuse so this totally speaks to me in a way. |
