Can't Forget

i was standing there
i couldn't touch you
i wouldn't dare
behind your eyes
there was a look
one i couldn't understand
one i hope i mistook
oh don't you see
that the lord above
has created you
for me to love?
now that you're gone
what should i do
all day i sit here
thinking only of you
time is racing past
i just can't forget
all the times i was with you
frozen memories with a candle lit
i'll always remember
i won't let myself deny
you were my first love
please don't ask me why
you would always look at my face
and you saw the passion inside
it was shining out just for you
you know i never cried
it was a gift of glory
when in my darkness you called my name
i prayed from my heart to the heavenly skies
this time it won't be a game
we might have been together forever
yet past mistakes have made me see
in you i had found false love
and in my memory forever we'll be |
