Love Never Dies

trusting in something
though of no material means
endurance through life
no time can tell
fear not my child
i know darkness well
laughter echoes
in a corridor it rings
friendship calls
hearts often sing
crying finds
neither comfort nor despair
saying farewell
though knowing you care
remembering children
whose laughter rang so clearly
coming home
they were gone forever nearly
time proves
the only true test
understanding lays
all tears to rest
missing them
remembering the start
don't forget
in your soul they'll never part
letting go
seems cruel and unjust
but tears subside
and bear it you must
mothering naturally aches
for children long since grown
and love will never leave
though they've left
this you must have known |
