nights when you're not alone
nights filled with love
nights of the past
she was so in love then he went away. he wasn't gone for so long but it seems like forever when someone who's the center of your world leaves. you're accustomed to seeing his face everyday and hearing his voice on the phone for hours, gently speaking to your ear and heart.
when that special someone leaves it seems the world falls apart. everything falls around you but you're the first to fall. it's so easy to go take the wrong turn when it's dark all around you. there's noone there to hold your hand and lead you to the light. noone to comfort you when you're scared. all of a sudden you're all alone in an immense world where you don't speak the language and people look at you with cold indifferent eyes.
all you want is to feel close to someone in anyway you can.
it's only been an eternity and he's come back. the darkness is gone but the shadows are lingering. those shadows come between you. you'd hoped he wouldn't find that you'd gone down the wrong path. that you'd let someone else pick the flowers from your soul.
he's left, and in his place the darkness has come forever. the flowers of your soul are painfully wilting. the once so soft and radient petals are falling one at a time. the soul cries, endlessly watering the dying blossoms that will never bloom. there is no light and the darkness doesn't give what your soul needs for dreams to come true. |
