For Robin
written by Dhirsti12:04 PM 2/1/05he came into my life and became a friend
before long he had captured my heart
like a tiny leaf caught up in a whirlwind
his personality, his charm and the gleam in his eyes that just swept me away
that beautiful smile on his face
could bring such warmth even to the coldest day
at a time when i thought i couldn't feel anymore
he tore off the chains i had so carelessly put over my hearts door
he opened up the feelings that i had thought i lost
turning my life inside out once more
i found that i could love, dream and fantasize like never before
even knowing right from the start that he could never be mine
didn't stop me from opening my heart this time
realizing there would come a time to let him go
a time filled with pain and sorrow
but there would always be hope now for a better tomorrow
it was an affair to learn from ,
and remember
he touched my soul....
brought me back to life again
and gave me hope to love again
and for that i'll be forever grateful
to my friend |
