» Poem: Tell Me
Tell Me
written by Dhirsti
12:09 PM 2/1/05
if only once to hear you say
you thought of me and it brightened your day
if only once you'd let me know
that your quest in life
is to be my hero
to whisk me away
and heal my soul
to hold me close to your body
and not ever let go
to take my hands
and kiss my skin
to open your heart and let me in
to kiss my lips, my face, my eyes
to stand naked before me without disguise
to tell me of your life
of family and friends
your favorite color
how your day begins
to tell me of your hopes
of your dreams
what makes you laugh
and what makes you scream
what makes you angry
what makes you sad
to tell me of things
that have made you glad
to tell me things about yourself
anything at all
no matter how big
no matter how small
to bear your soul to me
and tear down the wall
if only once- my heart would dance
at the simple thought of having the chance
to truly know the man i adore
how could one ask for anything more?
