» Poem: Desire
Desire
written by Dhirsti

in lofty dreams i'm carried to
a secret place i only know
for there i lose myself to you
in wistful repose, drifting slow
in stolen moments brief and few
in your arms i'm safe and secure
i gaze into those eyes of blue
that say so much without a word
a distant whisper - the carnal fire
speaks to us; the dance begins
bodies embrace with fervent desire
to sense, to feel- be skin to skin
to kiss, to touch, to taste, to hear
to drown in your tender soft caress
to you i am completely bared
my mind, my body, my soul -undressed
warm lips that coach and urge me still
arousing the senses and wanting to be
body to body, craving the thrill
of sweet surrender deep within me
if i could, if i knew a way
the world would pause to give me time
i'd hold you close and beg you to stay
wanting your body close to mine
when the scent of you still lingers
when i still can feel your touch
when the thrill of walking fingers
leaves me yearning for so much
such desire builds ardent longing
only some would tempt to dare
my body reaching, needing ,searching
seeking the one for whom i bare
