» Poem: Hurtful Games
Hurtful Games
written by Dhirsti
12:17 PM 2/1/05
sitting here alone
thoughts of you flitting through my mind
is your heart made of stone?
can you consciously be unkind?
wanting to hear your voice
i smile at the thought
it seems i don't have a choice
no matter what my heart's been caught
where do you get the gall?
is this just a big game?
do you care at all?
will i ever be the same?
it hurts me inside
yet to you i'll show my smile
though my longing for you i'll hide
the pain stays awhile
i wait for your call
but it just doesn't ring
i lay alone after all
to my pillow i cling
