and i let you love me
i let you hold me
i let you have my heart
i gave you my patience
along with my temper
i let you have my smile
and i let you feel my tears
i gave you my problems
and a shoulder for yours
i gave you everything i had
yet i received so much more
i gave you my friendship
and my hand to hold....
i let myself go
and i let you inside my walls
i gave you my tenderness
and i let you see inside my soul
yet now you seem so far away
i gave you my dreams
i let you have my promises
i gave you a chance
and i let you say goodbye |
