» Poem: Temptation
Temptation
written by Dhirsti
12:52 PM 2/1/05
how do i look into your eyes
glance briefly then away?
will others see my quiet longing
or hear what whispers say?
that i don't feel the same for one
as i do feel for you
how could my slight of conscience bear
the things my wants might do?
i do not understand the sunlights kiss
or what some may call love
only the paleness of the moon
and what my soul's made of
so to temptation i must plead
allow my exit free
for i am not so strong you know
and never will i be
