though i knew right from the start
that i would only be second best
for she holds the key to your heart
but i can't withhold these feelings
they're tearing me in two
i want to stand on a mountain top
and scream that i love you
even though you're heart is taken
and my feelings i have to hide
i will dream that maybe someday
i could be the one to by your side |
