Sacrifice

of what would happen if you ever knew
that i'm in love with you
i don't know how long it's been
and i try so hard to disguise
yet it's as if you're searching my soul when you're looking into my eyes
to hear you whisper in my ear
as my heart beats very fast
to wrap myself around you
and make the moment last
touching your face, tasting your lips
as if to brand you as my own
but that could never happen
how long have i known?
how long can this go on
with these emotions bottled inside
i don't know if i should tell you
with the knowledge you'd run and hide
i can't imagine my life without you
but i know someday i'll lose
i will have to say goodbye to you
you'll never have to choose |
