» Poem: justme...justyou
justme...justyou
written by IceBound
12:09 AM 2/2/05
the heat beats down, cold heat to side
dare i move? the hardships coming easy
the slate lookin the slightest blue
reflect the sky above, omit the heat
emitting heat, from body, beads of sweat roll down
wind fill this space, yet the warm embrace
missing form to scorn me, adore me? abhor me
assumptions to conclusions make up for time lost
time without, as heat to the earth, 8 min. to surface
8 seconds to think, the drip drip drip...
the water from the sink, clear the glass, breathe
breathe this gas, choke on this thought, feel it pulse
freedom pride, the light for hope, avoid the ray
hide in fear, i scream these last words, i fight
bear to arms, my life, my soul is on the line
sip the wine of purity, like honey to my lips
savior the taste of my life slipping away
heed the chase, give into gravity's pull, just fall
path to moon light, road to least resistance
none of the less potent days pass, liquid drops
flame from feul lest it run dry, pre-define me
re-aline the two threads...just me...just you...
