Chained and Tethered

Unbreakable chains
Terrible though it may be
I struggle to find an escape
But there seems to be no relief
From all this
I look within myself to find comfort
But all I find is emptyness
I am lost in a forest of tears
I am blind to all other things
Because of my grief
There is nothing I want more than to be free
Suddenly I feel free from all my torment
Something is different
I'm not sure what it is
Then the awareness floats over my ice cold body
And now I know why I feel so free
I'm Dead |
