Insecurity
written by brokenxsmile12:51 AM 2/4/05The disappointment floods her eyes
You’ve let her down once more
You can’t see what the big deal is
Why she’s slamming all the doors
The anger’s in her heart again
You don’t even know what’s wrong
Why she’s moping about the house
And singing the same tired old song
She doesn’t want to talk to you
Doesn’t want you to come within her sight
She wants you to make a bed on the couch
Because she wants to be alone tonight
You’re thinking it has something to do with work
Maybe you really haven’t messed anything up
Maybe tomorrow she’ll be better
You think as you pour more coffee in your cup
The truth is that she loves you
And you know that she always will
She just has her mood swings
And wonders if you love her still
You’ve got to let her know each day
That you’re going to stick around
Let her know that you’re still interested
And you’re not running around town
So even if it’s not a mood swing
Or a special occasion or day
Set aside some time in your day
To go to her and say in some way
“I love you and I always will
You’re still the only one for me”
And she’ll come around and be happy again
No more mood swings, you’ll see |
