as we thank the lord

Our heads gently resting upon
The golden glow. We watch
We see the hate the pain
Of the world below us.
We listen to the cries
Of the forgotten children.
Of the heart broken lovers.
And thank the lord that
We left that world long ago.
We reach to hold each other’s hands
Stand up as we thank the lord.
As we pray for peace and love.
We see the wars of hate
On the world below us.
We see the destruction of life
We see innocence taken.
There lies the death of man |
