"He Only Takes the Best", Author Unknown

And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around her/him
And whispered, come with me.
With tearful eyes we watched her/him suffer
And saw her/him fade away.
Although we loved her/him dearly,
We could not make her/him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best |

I take no credit whatsoever for this poem. It is a memorial poem for a girl that died sometime back into 2004. And I'm putting these up for a friend of mine who died sometime during last year...
