"Untitled" - guanobaron

About a wonderful gal
Struck down way too soon.
Chiharu (on Gaia)
Was someone I considered
A friend for months now.
Though we planned to meet
We never had the chance to
And we never will.
Chi was the victim
Of a senseless tragedy
Through no fault of hers.
She was senselessly
Taken away from us all
And she will be missed.
I'm sure that others
Who knew her in real life are
Feeling worse than I.
I can't imagine
What pain Shira and others
Are feeling right now.
All that I can do
Is to share my sympathies
With those who knew her.
I'm sure that many
Of us are feeling angry
About the sad news.
However, do not
Speak out in vengence or hate.
That will solve nothing.
The right thing to do
Is to express gratitude
That she touched your life.
I will be thankful
That I got to know her but
Saddened by the loss.
It is times like these
That we realize what we tend
To take for granted. |

I take no credit whatsoever for this poem. It is a memorial poem for a girl that died sometime back into 2004. And I'm putting these up for a friend of mine who died sometime during last year...But my friend wasn't a girl...
