Average Teenage Girl

as every word drips off her tongue
to you she may seem happy
but what you know has just begun
she's pailer than the snow
on a freezing winters day
shes bleeding on the inside
becuase shes alone today
though you can not see
inside i know she's weeping
and though she dreams at night
shes terrified of sleeping
she's a bottle of emotion
waiting to be discovered
and all she ever wanted
is to have someone to love her
and all of her mistakes
were made by accident
and now everyone's offended
becuase of her intent
all she does is apalogize
and takes everything to heart
and no one understands
how she could fall apart
and she misses every chance
that she would ever hope to get
and she tries to hold her tears back
as shes trying to forget
now she mutters her own thoughts
whenever shes alone
and no one would ever guess
just by her voices tone
that she cries sometimes at night
because her right arm is scarred in red
because apparently he thinks
that its his thoughts she lead
so now she worries and regrets
all the fun she thought she had
and today shes not in pink
shes wearing black and plaid
and her self esteem is low
and in her mind, all her dreams are shot
and she wishes he'd understand
her stupid careless thoughts
she's repeated that shes sorry
time and time again
and now shes only hoping
that you two still are friends. |
