Flute

The peaceful pipe is singing just to me
This personalized lovesong just seems to float
On a lovely raft balancing on the sea
And I think to myself in the harsh eyes of the world
What matters to me isn't just music
It's anger at myself just so unfurled
And altogether it's making me sick
These simplistic notes are tried and true
And I trick myself with believing they are mine
When I don't own a nickel or dime
It isn't merely love for me or you
It's something more complex and less defined
It is music and it transcends the times. |
