» Poem: early state street
early state street
written by omegadrax
05:17 PM 2/6/05
the cars putter
slowly, as everyone
begins
a new day.

voices mutter
softly, as through
the street
i make my way.

from the gutter,
bums and homeless
awake from
where the lay.

bread with butter.
this town
knows i am
here to stay.
