My life or Yours

and my unborn child’s?
Could I kill a child of innocence?
Take a knife to my stomach and
Cut my baby from me.
Watch as all air drains from its dying body.
Could I cope with the death of my unborn child?
An innocent child untouched by sin.
A child given a little light to guide
It through life, could I put that light out
With one touch from my knife?
Could I watch the blood pour from
Its heart? Could I see all your dreams
Float out of reach?
Could I end the life so innocent?
