» Poem: I am Me
I am Me
written by EbonySeraph
05:05 PM 2/7/05
I am...me
It's all I have ever wanted to be
I have blue eyes
And...I have forgotten my natural hair color
But I am sure that it
Compliments me in some way
I say anything I want to say
And although I just might
Be a little different than you
Doesn't mean I am not a human
One pierced lip and ten ear holes
Make for
An impressive shine off the lights
On the dance floor
(How I love to dance)
Along with my jewelry
Which clinks
Like glasses
Of fine wine
I like to wear black clothes
Or blue jeans
Whatever I wear still means I am me
And if I am confusing
I don't mean to be
I just know what I want, and I know what I see
When I look
Into the mirror
