» Poem: Hospital Bed
Hospital Bed
written by whatShouldUsBe
11:45 PM 2/7/05
She waked in a cold hospital bed
with no one in sight
a bump on the head
and no recollection of last night
She knew she had been alone
and then he had came
she then went home
the party real lame
She didn't notice he was there too
as she walked through the black night
she wouldn't know what to do
when he came into sight
She thoughtlessly left the door open
and plopped onto the couch
flipped on the tv
and heard a faint ouch!
She looked around
and thought of it the wind
not noticing the sound
would be made once again
now I'll admit that watching
and not helping her was wrong
but I knew there would be struggle
and he rapist was far too strong
I went hom that night
worried about my freind
not knowing if she was allright
or if she'd make it in the end
I decided to call her mom
and let her know she might need help
and she hurried through the night
to get there just in time...
I was left with emance pain
as I sobbed into my bed
pride is no gain
I couldn't get her out of my head
so I went to go visit here and am waiting in a chair
for someone to wake her
and tell her I'm there
as she wakes in a cold hospital bed
with just me in sight
a bump on the head
and no recollection of that night...
