THE BOY WHO NEVER GREW UP
written by nicole_lyndon03:39 AM 2/8/05THE BOY WHO NEVER GREW UP
I knew of a lad, who refused learning his shoes to tie,
And never mastered the task unto the day he died.
Dependent on others, he breezed through life,
First relying on his Mother, than his wife.
The lad also refuted learning God's word,
Though many adults tried tutoring him, be assured.
He raced through his life with wild seeds to sow,
Inattentive of the morals God wished him to know.
In the shadow of parents sanctified and saved,
The lad felt secure as eternity waved.
At twenty-one, he married a saintly woman.
He felt assurance with her he'd someday make heaven.
The man lived a long life as unstable shifting sand,
His only legacy, a sad influence to other young men.
The moral: Learn to tie your shoes when you are small,
Listen to God and learn of Him before you trip and fall! |
