» Poem: Letting Go
Letting Go
written by Broken Phoenix
10:24 PM 2/8/05
Hiding in the darkness, enjoying my time
Thinking over and over, was it just a waste of time?
I close my eyes and count to five
Wonder how you keep me alive?
I keep them close and hope I won't have to open them
Ever again
And there is nothing left for me
I'm sick of having to see
You lay there
And having to pretend that I don't care
I just want you to know
I've really tired hard toi let you go
But something in me just won't let it be so
I'm sick of having to pretend
I wish this would just to an end
I just want you to be happy
I know this means you can't be around me
But I will sacrifice all I had
Just so you will be glad
So please will you just let me be
So I can set you free
