» Poem: Blurred
Blurred
written by elfish88

The woman sits silently waiting for some sort of reverie,
She hums an ancient tune and fidgets with the layers of gold bands lining her wrists.
Her heart beat quickens as she hears the door nearby open.
Just another young couple...
Hands clenched upon the table, she takes a deep and uneasy breath of remorse.
Those days, still on her mind...and yet all blurred together in a whirlwind of color,
Maybe he will come to meet her this evening.
Smiling from thoughts of his incredible return, the aging woman stares at the empty streets outside.
Nothing but memories, all that is left.
