» Poem: Persistence of Memory
Persistence of Memory

Art is sometimes considered unreal
But that is from our own appeal
On May eleventh, nineteen hundred and four
One of the greatest artists of our time was born

Salvador Dali is a genius of art
Into which his work he added his heart
Through his eyes a painting was painted
Called the Persistence of Memory where time was tainted

Clocks melting over cliffs
Slowing up time as they drift
Catching with the life we miss
Fulfilling our every wish

You get the chance to right your wrongs
And finally place yourself where you belong
Knowing your life isn't like a lease
Thanks to Dali for this wonderful masterpeice
