The black rose
written by Bloodfilledcinnabuns11:02 PM 2/10/05the black rose is delicate and fair
though its beauty is hard to bare
distasteful to some, but noticd by all
proud intil the last petal falls
a symbol of darkness and a lack of hope
and yet its presence helps some to cope
perhaps the bleak darkness of this rose
does more than keep us on our toes
the beauty of the darkness may be hard to see
but the sorrow of the flower speaks to me
i cant help but feel moved, and understand
so i try to reach out and touch it with my hand
but as i try to pluck the rose my hand bleeds
its thorns have protected it from my greed
the rose is more than a flower, its a symbol of me
so i have decided i should leave it be
i look at the blood and feel a slight shame
as i walk away i decide to take this symbol as my name |
