illusion

When you see me what do you picture? A soul of joy and happiness? A child with masses of friends? A baby from a loving home? If I let slip the illusion that I have created to cover the true me would you see what I have become. The monster, the hunter, the stalker, the killer of the innocent. Would you still love me when you see the truth behind the illusion I created to stop you leaving me alone. Again. To stop the thoughts from going around and around inside my head. Voices trying to control my every movement, my every thought, my every feeling. When you see me without the illusion do you see the hateful soul the dying spirit? Do you see the child who sits in solitary agony? The child wishing that someone could see beneath the illusion? Unnoticed by the one’s she love’s, she’s slipping into an insipid dream.
