» Poem: Mask
Mask
written by speiamcial
05:16 PM 2/11/05
Every morning she put on a mask
Hoping no one would see
The person hiding beneath

She spent all day making sure
People couldn't see the real her
Her one true fear was herself

She wouldn't realize
All those she hurt
While she was pretending to be something shes not

Until one day that mask came off
And the people liked her better
All those years she spent hiding

Gone to waste
All because she was afraid
Of who she really was
