» Poem: watching, waiting |
watching, waiting
written by IceBound02:20 AM 2/12/05thank you for at least attempting
for giving into my words
and just listening...
but even that fell far
the twisted truth
expanding from my reach
i view you now from a distance
behind the barrier of another
i will never get back to you
never talk, never look
so i'm closing the last door
it's locked so please, don't knock
do not persist, i won't look back, i've stopped
my failed attempt to love another
fell through like everything else, it's time to cover
up my face, save dignity, my pride gone to waste
so here i sit, alone on this road once more
your laughter pleases me, you're happy now
watching at a distance, waiting for what's in store |
