» Poem: concrete flower
concrete flower
written by omegadrax

I.
concrete flower in the country
concrete flower in the city
concrete flower growing slowly
trying to escape the rain

concrete flower smiling in the sun
concrete flower reaching for the stars
concrete flower sitting with me
trying to ignore the pain

II.
i see you,
my concrete flower,
trying hard not to shatter.
although you are hard,
the world is much harder.
you are now in a bigger pot
and you have so much to win,
if only you spread your roots.
