reunion

i have changed in time,
but still i look the same.
i have loved.
i have lusted.
i have hated.
but in all,
i still have loved you.
you, who brought a quiet calm
to the hurricane of my life.
you, who listened when i spoke
even when i wasn't saying anything.
you, who took everything in stride
and helped me when i stumbled.
you, who didn't take me seriously
even when now, i know it was love.
II.
i dreamt about you.
once in a park,
where we expressed our feelings.
another in the dark,
where i walked you home.
always in a dream,
how i wish it were true.
i stroll down
memory lane,
often alone,
sometimes with others,
but still
wishing you were,
by my side. |

15 years ago, i told you i loved you. you said "what do i know about love?". 15 years later, i still think of you and believe it was love. that could have been 15 years together. renee.
