» Poem: Lost
Lost

Lost without a cause
She looks down, only to pause
Looking back on the road,
Where she used to live
Remembering all the love,
She had to give.

That little girl,
Keeps on walking
No one in sight,
So why is she talking?

Inside her mind,
Everything is the same.
Sitting at home,
Playing her game.
Headphones blaring loud,
As her mom screams,
Blood glistens,
No one listens.

He's come for her,
Rules are laid,
Her consequences are paid.
Through the cracks of her fingers,
She sees the hanger.
White flags fly up,
She knows she's in danger.

This is the end,
She has to leave.
No longer will she deceive,
The world around her for being strong,
A real life, is what she longs.
Walking out that door,
She wont see it anymore.
Standing at the end of the road,
Looking back,
Tears come to her eyes,
Bags on her shoulders,
Every step growing older,
Each sun rise,
A fragment of her past slips away,
For once she enjoys seeing another day.
