» Poem: Fading
Fading

Memories fade,
From this mind I like to call my own.
No love shown,
What's happened to me?
This isnt how it's supposed to be.
I used to care,
Used to want to go everywhere.
Life just isnt what it used to be,
Somehow it's so hard for you to see.

I lie in bed and listen to the rain,
Each drop representing my never-ending pain.
Somehow I manage to refrain from going insane,
Somehow I manage to keep these thoughts tamed.
Inside I want to kill,
You cant stop me,
It's against my own will.
These demons have taken me,
Within their grasp,
They love the sudden gasps.
They inject me with their haunting likes,
Making me want to grab a knife,
Go on the run for a misleading life.
Contain it for everything it's worth.
Take it within my hands and squeeze,
Hear their long painful pleads.
That doesnt mean anything to me,
These visions fill me with glee.
Makes me realize,
Inside I'm fading,
In my head I'm faking,
These crazy thoughts I'm making,
About being alright.
It's my time so shine bright,
Regain my pride,
Set everything else aside.
It never occured to you,
It's your time to die.
Your empty heart I pry,
Up out of your chest,
Just as I lay your body to rest.
