Poison Ivy (ana)
written by Trapezium04:01 PM 2/14/05You hold me and you squeeze me,
Wrapping your arms tightly around my body,
You grip me like a vine,
And inject your poison into my mind.
You soothe me with your lies,
And tell me it'll be okay in the end.
Just as long as I do as you say
You tell me I'll be safe...
Safe from what?
You turn me around,
And force me to gaze into your eyes.
I soon realise I'm staring at nothing but space.
They say the eyes are the gateway to the soul -
And you have none.
No soul, no eyes.
I know the truths,
But your constriction is too tight.
You turn me green with envy at the sight of slimmer -
Things.
Now you know why I call you the Poison Ivy,
You grow all year round
And the only way to lose you -
Is to cut you down.
If I struggle, and attempt to fight,
You tighten your bony arms around me,
And you laugh that sinister laugh.
You're the poison Ivy. |
