The Pain You Caused

i can't help thinking about all the things you told me
they run through my head when i'm alone
i needed you then; i still need you now
i'm scared and alone without you by my side

you told me you were going to commit suicide
i cried because i was scared you would do it
i thought i would lose you to the darkness of death
im still scared to lose you even now

you told me to lose a friend hurts more than anything
then please tell me why you do this to me now
i hate living without you in my life
i want you back, i'm losing my head over you

i feel the blade cutting through my skin
i see the blood trickling from the wound
you understood me then, i know you still can now
please come back and help me to cope

sitting alone in a corner of my dark bedroom
in a space as empty as my broken heart
i want you back here to fill the growing hole
despite the pain you caused
