Love to me is...

But you would never want to change it
Love is when you know what you feel
But can't say it in words
Love is when you get into a fight with him
And even though you know you're right
You say sorry anyways
Love is when you realize not only could you live with him
But you couldn't live without him
Love is getting the occasional butterflies
When he kisses your forehead or neck
Love is when he's on vacation with the family
And you wait by the phone because you don't want to miss his call
Love is when he says he loves that skirt or that dress
And you wear it on your anniversary
Love is when he has to work late
And even though he tells you not to wait up
You do anyways, and you keep his dinner warm for him
Love is when he does the things that annoy you
But if he ever stopped, you'd want it back
Love is when you see him and you smile
No matter how bad of a mood you're in
Love is when you see him talking to another lady
And you don't feel a twinge of jealousy or insecurity
Love is when you hold him but
You feel like he's really holding you
Love is when everything could go wrong
But you're still happy because he's still there
Love is when no matter how long he's gone
You still miss him more than ever
Love is when you're insecure about yourself
But around him, you feel secure
And love to me is knowing he's imperfect
But seeing him p.e.r.f.e.c.t.l.y. |
