» Poem: Accompanying my chosen queen.........
Accompanying my chosen queen.........
written by Psychoace
04:50 AM 2/16/05
I am seven feet tall,
Accompanying my chosen queen...
On the day of her coronation,
Above all others of her kind...

Seven days after her leaving,
Her scent lingers on my palms...
Seven days after her leaving,
The air refuses...
To fill her place beside me,
Seven days after her leaving...

I search once more,
For the count of my fingers...
In the web of our hands,
And I wonder if she measures...
The pebbles of the long days,
Breaking in the water of her memory?

Seven days after her leaving...
Her scent lingers on my palms,
Seven days after her leaving..........
