» Poem: Little girl, grown up girl
Little girl, grown up girl
written by nicole_lyndon

Little girl, grown up girl
With your smile shining so bright
You light up faces all the days
They never suspect you cry at night.
They adore you so, your kindness, your laughter
They never suspect the smile falls
As they walk away after.
Little girl, grown up girl
You try so hard to succeed
How could anyone be so sad,
With all the goals you achieve?
They never see beyond the smile
To the sadness in your eyes
If one day, you couldn't hold on
You'd take them all by surprise.
So strive little girl
Hold your head up to the sky.
Be brave, grown up girl
Never make them wonder why.
