» Poem: Waiting
Waiting
written by DarkeningBeauty

How many times has this scene run through my head?
I thought it was for the short term, fixing.
Is it your voice, is it your presence,
Will you leave without a fight?

Yet, I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting.
I’m still waiting.

Reach out and touch the dust of my well being,
The frozen tears that remain in my heart.
Nothing left to fear me anymore,
Will you come back tonight?

Yet, I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting.
I’m still waiting.

Will you return faithfully, like the promise you made one winters night?
Will you come back to me, like the words you betrayed that lonesome time?
Because true love is forever,
But how can you be sure that this is true?

Cause, I’m still waiting, oh,
Yeah, I’m still waiting,
Still waiting.
I’m still waiting.

Cause, I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting,
I’m still waiting.
I’m still waiting.

Waiting.
