21stChildren
written by Sugar_N_Spikes06:15 PM 2/16/0521stChildren.
Superficial stars, with money round their necks
Supposed class, heads filled by trash
Media corrupted, this information age
Images of portrait dreams on a silver screen.
Whilst inside another home, a broken child screams
The kids play for real, they find out first hand.
They’re the next generation, to oversee this land
Children bearing Children, Children fighting wars
In this world, the Children,
Aren’t Children anymore.
Place before a goggle box, give them plastic dreams
Make them indifferent to other children’s screams
Fill them full of junk food, the media acclaimed
On the other side, a different life is played
Give them the latest craze, to tear out their world
Stamp out the differences and obliterate the word
This reality is changing, our children rearranging.
Children bearing Children, Children fighting wars
In this world, the Children,
Aren’t Children anymore. |
