So Hard to Say (revised)

Where I can finally feel no harm
Safe and secure and suddenly I belong
Where deep down inside I've never felt so strong
You took the broken pieces
And repaired them with a single kiss
But not once have you made me feel decieved
For when I'm with you I only feel relieved
And I know what I feel in my heart is real
But it's so hard to say exactly how I feel
Into you I've placed all of my thoughts and my trust
Thanks to you, I've left all my insecurities in the dust
And too many times I've been put down
To the point where I thought I belonged on the ground
But on that ground with me you sat
Where you didn't treat me like another doormat
You looked at me and saw through the disguise
Saw through the stories and all of the lies
And I know what I feel in my heart is real
But it's so hard to say exactly how I feel
You've sat with my so many times
Told me I didn't belong in the dirt and the grime
And you finally convinced me somehow
To pick myself up, right here and right now
When I take a fall, you pick me up and dust me off
And heal all the bruises, the scars, and the scuffs
I finally don't feel the need to resort to a knife
Because just thinking about you makes me feel alive
And I know what I feel in my heart is real
But it's so hard to say exactly how I feel |
