» Poem: Dad
Dad
written by bleedblack
10:29 PM 2/16/05
Hey Dad,
look at me now
is this the way
I was supposed to turn out?
Am I the child
you always adored?
Do I have the perfection
you wanted and more?
Am I good enough
for your love and praise?
Or is that something I'll have to work for
until the end of my days?
I'm sorry I don't get straight A's
or dress the way you wish.
But that's just how I am.
Don't tell me that I'm selfish.
