As we wander the path of life,
On a course that planned by Thee,
We may encounter the Path of Woe,
And say, "That's not for me!"
For I'm one of God's chosen children,
And I've always stayed on His path.
That way is meant for those who don't,
And are willing to face His wrath.
But as I continued along the trail,
I saw the error of my ways.
God never promised always sunshine,
As we travel through the maze.
We still suffer this world's sorrows
-- Sickness, grief and hate.
But this world is just a mere glimpse,
Of our eternal fate.
So keep that smile on your face,
For His path you know is true.
A problem is merely a small hurdle,
And there is so much more for you. |
